Die HHDS steht am 07.08.2010 wieder vor der Tür und wir freuen uns jetzt schon darauf bekannte Gesichter wieder zu sehen.
Da der Sommer uns noch lange begleiten wird ist natürlich die Outdoor Area wie gewohnt für euch geöffnet.
Mit dabei sind diesmal DJ MESH aus Israel und MC CYMARSHALL LAW
aus NYC.
DJ MESH – Israels Freestyle Champion 2008 repräsentierte Israel unter anderem bei dem DMC Championchip und der Vestax Extravaganza. Genährt vom Father of Funk und Aufgewachsen mit den Classic Masters des Hip Hop der 80er und 90er und seine extreme Sucht zum Turntablelism machen DJ MESH zum Meister seiner Künste.
MC MARSHALL LAW – performte in vielen Orten in den USA und Europa und machte sich dabei seinen Namen als einer der Besten und Upcoming Lyricist, und auch als charismatischer und energetischer Performer, der die Massen niemals unzufrieden zurück lässt. 2003 gewann er den MC Battle von Tower Record, der von den Black Eyed Peas gejudged worden ist. Seit dem, und auch vorher schon, teilt er sich die Bühne mit namhaften Künstlern, wie KRS-ONE, SMIF-N-WESSON, BOOTCAMP CLICK, SEAN P, MOS DEF, TALIB KWELI, JEAN GRAE und vielen mehr.
Zusammen mit den HHDS residents DJ JUMPY & SAN GABRIEL wird DANIO, der übrigens auch für die musikalische Entwicklung von DJ MESH verantwortlich war (er hat ihm Ende der 90er Jahre seine HipHop Platten überlassen) den Dancefloor rocken!

DJ Snips is a UK born transatlantic DJ who is based between London and NYC.
Established in London as one of the UK’s most prominent and prolific DJs/Producers.
Snips through his own merit and his initial association with London’s world famous Deal Real record store has DJed performances for U.S. heavy hitters such as Mos Def, Kanye West, John Legend, The Black Eyed Peas, Cassidy, Akir, Pharaoh Monch, Saigon, Ghostface, Dead Prez, Pete Rock & Cl Smooth, The Gza and various UK artists including Estelle, Klashnekoff, Skinnyman and Sway.
Before becoming a regular of NYC where Snips was a resident for the whole of 2009, Snips was a regular fixture on London’s Hip Hop and R&B club circuit having played or held down residencies at almost every major club in the West End including Cafe De Paris, Penthouse, Tantra, Attica, The Paragon Lounge, NYT, Rex, Kingly Club, Capishe, Yo Yos @ Notting Hill Arts Club and Bar Rumba.
As well as his residencies, Snips has also been the DJ of choice for several major London industry parties over the last few years including Damon Dashes Launch party for SAS and The Young Gunz @ Elysium, Pharaoh Monch and Dead Prez after party @ Cafe de Paris, Talib Kweli and Kano’s after party @ Umbaba, Genuwine’s afterparty @ Penthouse, Chamillionare’s afterparty @ Penthouse, KRS 1s performance in Oxford, Masta Aces show at Mass and The Red Bull Carnival party where Snips DJed alongside ?uestlove of the Roots crew. Snips was also the resident DJ for Koshmo Entertainments comedy jam “laugh till u cry”, hosted quarterly by Felicity Ethnix @ the Brixton Ritzy cinema throughout 2006. Snips still frequents London for regular parties and most recently headlined the “Candy” magazine launch party that was hosted by US Glamour model “Buffie The Body”
In addition to being a respected DJ on the scene, Snips also created, promotes and DJs at London’s premier Hip Hop night “Livin’ Proof” a monthly event at Market Place in London’s West End which he still headlines whenever he is in London.
Having spent a year in NY, Snips has established himself as a name to look out for having spun at venues across the City including The Pyramid (EOW battle NYC), The Delancey Lounge (Shabaam Sadheeqs mixtape release), The Knitting Factory, The Sputnik Lounge, Sutra and Santos Party House with NY legends such as Evil D, Sucio Smash and Tony Touch.
Snips having been a regular fixture on the London Club circuit and gaining recognition in the US, has also been a popular DJ all over the world spinning everywhere from Berlin, Sydney, Qatar, to Barcelona.
In the last few years Snips has also found time to run community based DJ and Production workshops, and has acted as a mentor figure for young people who have been excluded from school or have criminal records, for major UK organisations Rolling Sound and Connexions.
When Snips isn’t touring or on the Club circuit, he can generally be found in the Studio turning out beats for some of the most talented MCs on both sides of the Atlantic. His production work includes tracks for several major US Recording artists including M1 (Dead Prez), Shady Records recording artist Cashis, Trife da God, Sav Kills, Spit Supreme, Donny Goines, Ali Vegas, Ness (Bad Boy), Akir, Mysone, Poison Pen, Serius Jones, Planet Asia, Smiff N Wessun, Capadonna, Sean Price, Big Lou, Strong Arm Steady, Jay Arch, Cuban Link, Skyzoo, Sha Stimuli and UK heavyweights including Poisonous Poets, Sway Desafo (Best Hip Hop MOBO winner 2005), Baby Blue, Stylah, Yungun, Doc Brown, Skinnyman, Lowkey (Best Newcomer 2004 Undercover Magazine Awards and Lyric Pad UK Hip Hop Awards) and Durrty Goodz.
Snips is part of the London based DJ crew “The Crate Raiders” and is also the DJ/Producer for one of London’s most critically acclaimed rap crews “The Poisonous Poets” who, between the six members, have performed in every major city in the U.K. and have opened and toured with Busta Rhymes, Pharaoh Monch, De La Soul, Immortal Technique, Dead Prez, Canibus, Jeru The Damaja, Saigon, Papoose, KRS One, Pete Rock and were also one of the headlining acts at the 2006 U.K. Takeover.
As well as being part of two of the UK’s finest collectives Snips is also a member one of the finest international collectives in Hip Hop, “All Elements,” started by NYC Mixtape heavyweight J-Ronin which includes rappers Sav Kills, Spit Supreme and Jay-Arch, DJ J-Ronin and Producer Cosmo.
Snips has recently become a major force in the mixtape industry having put out several well received mixtapes including “All Elements Vol 9 and 10 with J-Ronin, hosted by Joell Ortiz and Skyzoo (respectively) along with several artist mixtapes for the likes of Math Hoffa, Poison Pen, Duo Live, Liason, Shabaam Sahdeeq and COL where he has DJed and hosted alongside greats such as Tony Touch, J-Ronin and SMACK from the world famous SMACK DVD series.

Born on August 29th the same day as jazz great Charlie Parker and King of Pop Michael Jackson, Law has always taken this as a sign that he too could achieve greatness in life. When he was 9 his Jamaican parents moved his family from his birthplace in United Kingdom to the U.S. in order to give their children greater opportunities. Across the Atlantic is where Cymarshall would first meet and fall deeply in love with Hip-Hop.
Cymarshall has performed in many places across the United States and Europe making a name for himself as one of the best up and upcoming lyricist in the game as well a charismatic, energetic performer who never leaves a crowd unsatisfied. In 2003 Law won an Emcee Battle at Tower Records in Philadelphia judged by platinum selling recording artists The Black Eyed Peas and has previously and since shared stages with KRS-ONE, Smif-N-Wesson, Bootcamp Click, Sean P , Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Wordsworth , The Last Emperor , Jean Grae, Immortal Technique and a list of other talented emcees.
Cy’s talents have brought him all over the world touring Europe several times and he was also one of the featured performers at Canada’s 2006 DMC DJ battle Championship. Cy was also selected to be on the famous/legendary Vans Warped Tour and crowned an EOW (End of the Weak) MC Challenge Champion all in 2007. That same year Law got picked up by Rawkus Records to become one of the Rawkus 50 which Rawkus described as “the next most important artists in Hip-Hop.” Since then in 2008 Cy has been a featured performer at Americas biggest Hip Hop Festival : Scribble Jam and in 2009 Law has done more touring in Europe going places like Sweden , Holland and Spain.
Cy has also received the Hip-Hop stamp of approval from the legendary Blastmaster himself, KRS-One, as Cy released “Control” f/KRS-ONE the first single from his debut LP, Hip Hop In The Soul, (Nov 2008), which was entirely produced by the next great Producer Mr. Joeker. Cy’s Hip-Hop In The Soul was well received throughout the urban community, receiving rave reviews from Okayplayer.com, Kevinnottingham.com and was featured by esteemed outlets such as 2Dopeboyz.com, Artofrhyme.com,schememag.com, Thatshiphop.com, Myspace.com, Vimby.com and hiphopoffical.com. DJ DANIO (Berlin/Tel-Aviv)

1995 zog Danio von Berlin nach Tel Aviv und fing in der Lounge des legendären Allenby 58 Clubs an, underground und oldschool HipHop der Tel AviverCclubszene schmackhaft zu machen, die dem kommerziellen HipHop und R’n'B, der von anderen DJs gespielt wurde keine Beachtung schenkte.
Erst ein paar jahre später, nachdem das Allenby 58 dicht machte, bekam Tel Aviv durch den von Ori Shohat ins leben gerufenen HipHop-Dienstag im Dinamo Dvash, einen Club in dem sich langsam aber sicher eine eigene Tel Aviver HipHop Bewegung entwickelte und Danio das aufblühende HipHop-Publikum mit seinen Berliner musikeinflüssen rocken konnte. Damals lernte er auch Israels Sscratchtalent Mesh kennen und nach kurzer Zeit fingen sie an zusammen aufzulegen. Als Danio 2002 zurück nach Berlin ging überliess er Mesh einen Teil seiner Platten, damit dieser seinen “Kampf” gegen die Kommerziellisierung der Clubs in Israel fortführen konnnte.
Seit dem lebt Danio in Berlin und ist unter anderem als DJ der ersten Stunde bei HHDS dabei.
